Frames
A combination of 2'' x 2'', 2.5'' x 2.5'', 3'' x 3'' diameter
and 2'' x 4'' box tubing in 11 gauge wall thickness are linked together
in rigid, all weld frames whenever possible. Welded steel end caps are
standard on all units. (No plastic inserts are used.)

Cams
All cams are computer designed to maximize the resistance
profile of each individual machine through a full or partial range of
motion. Each cam is machined from a proprietary high strength, low
friction high density polymer material (HDPE). To ensure smoothness and
extended cable life, the cable groove on each cam is machined to a
diameter no greater than .0625'' wider than the cable itself.
Pulleys
Impact resistance nylon, fiberglass reinforced pulleys rotate
on double sealed ball bearings with a load rating of 2400 lbs.
Counter-Balance
To ensure that the user lifts only the weight selected, each
leverage arm is bio-mechanically counter-balanced to a weight no greater
than 3 pounds.
Range Finding & Range Limiting Mechanisms
Quantum Range Finding and Limiting Mechanisms are clearly
indexed in 10 degree increments for repeatability. All Range finding
& Limiting Mechanisms adjustments feature large, easily grasped
knobs which are spring-loaded to safety lock into position.

Pillow Block Bearings
Maintenance-free and impact resistant sealed pillow-block
bearings are used in all main pivot points. The bearings are
self-aligning to maintain the ideal position of moving components and
deliver smoothness during operation. Pre-packed and lubricated at the
factory, these never require maintenance or lubrication.
Linear Bearings/Shafting
All units with 1.25'' shafting employ Super Ball Bearings
load rated to 1,500 lbs. each while units with 1.5'' shafting employ
Super Ball Bearings load rated to 2,000 lbs. each. All linear bearings
run on 60 class L shafts machined from 1060 case hardened steel.
Weight Stack Plates
Finished in flat black, each weight plate is numbered in
total weight and fitted with two (2) self aligning, low friction,
machine-pressed nylon bushings to ensure smooth travel. Each weight
stack is bedded on a 1.5'' rubber base to reduce shock and noise.
Guide Rods
The 1'' solid steel rods are chrome finished and secured with
Nylatron brackets to allow for free floating movement of weight plates
on guide rods.

Cable
Nylon coated steel aircraft cables are internally lubricated
for smoothness and durability with a breaking strength of 2200 lbs. and
4400 lbs.
Finish
Each frame is chemically etched to remove oil and dirt prior
to the application of a durable powder coat paint available in four
colors.

Pads
High density Ensolite closed cell neoprene foam is glued to
3/4'' plywood to conform to each machine. All bolt connectors are a
steel 3/8'' threaded insert.
Upholstery
Superior grade marine Naugahyde is double top stitched in a
variety of popular colors.

Adjustments
All telescoping tubing and Range Finding Mechanism selector
cams are manufactured of polished stainless steel. To ensure proper body
alignment, all adjustments feature telescoping tubing with 1.25''
increments.

The safety catches uniquely position the olympic bar at a safer
distance from the frame compared to traditional bench uprights

Bar and Safety Catches (Free Weight Systems)
All Quantum "HIGH IMPACT Weight Benches"
feature 3" x 3" uprights with High Density Polyethylene (HPDE)
bar/safety catches (patent pending), an industry first.
U nlike conventional olympic stations with metal safety
catches, Quantum HIGH-IMPACT
bar/safety catches eliminate the olympic bar from contacting the
frame’s metal thus extending the life of the olympic bar and enhancing
the appearance of the bench over the long term. The exclusive design
also allows users the option of performing comfortable, wide grip
pressing (up to 4" wider). And finally, HIGH-IMPACT
uprights are twice as strong as conventionally welded uprights ensuring
safety for the user and longevity of the weight bench..

Foot Platforms
For traction and appearance, all platforms feature 1/8''
polished aluminum diamond plating supported on 1/4'' steel bracing.
Instructional Information
Step-by-step information including anatomical drawings of
muscles exercised are mounted in non-fading washable placards.
Weight Stack Enclosure: (optional)
To conform to international safety standards, each Quantum machine can
be equipped with a full enclosure to conceal 100% of the weight
transport systems moving parts. Enclosures are vacuum formed utilizing
impact and scratch resistant automotive grade thermoplastic in a black,
textured finish.
Increment Plates: (optional)
5.0, 2.5, and 1.0 pound increment plates are available.
