August 1997: for those of you who have been waiting for online help
with purchasing quality fitness equipment,
Fitness Forever,
Fitness Forever developed a website. We can now help anyone
worldwide to purchase the equipment that is right for commercial or home use. No job is
too large or too small.
September 1997: the newest product on the market is the elliptical
stepper. Even though the stepper offers a great workout, studies show that a treadmill
offers a better overall workout. If you would like information on either of these pieces
of equipment, including which one offers you the best price and workout, see our
home page.
November 1997: this is the season when exercise shoppers buy the most
home gyms. However, there is much to know before purchasing one. Treadmills are
also very popular at this time of the year. See our home page
for info. on these
items and to save hundreds of dollars! Click here.

merger between themselves and Trotter. This business venture makes Cybex the largest
commercial equipment company in the world. Look for many new products to come from this
new merger.

commercial market. It's called the Hiker and is a combination of an elliptical stepper and a regular

the market making false claims. On the home market, many elliptical trainers
were experiencing mechanical failure. Many companies also made golden
promises that workout machines would alone create great bodies.
May 1998: The Cybex Hiker was just released to the
retail market. The Hiker is a different type of stepper. This unit combines
stepper motion of a Stair Master stepper and a Versa Climber Climbing machine. Just
in off the news wire is that Cybex Fitness has bought the Tectrix/Cybex company.
Tectrix/Cybex is the owner of the number-one club steppers and bikes in the U.S.A.
July 1998: The rower makes a big come back. The Concept II is coming back strong as the best rowing machine on the market.
Rowing had become an exercise of the past until rowing was introduced in a new
form called class rowing. As with the Indoor Cycling bikes in clubs, instructors
are holding rowing classes for multiple users.
August 1998: August is a slow time in the exercise business.
Treadmills still lead all fitness sales. Top-line steppers are making a big come
back.
September 1998: Well, the buying season is upon the
east coast
fitness dealers. Will there be snow or will the east coast have another warm winter
season? Home gyms are gaining greater acceptance by exercise enthusiasts.
